I’ve been looking forward to Lesley and Jeff’s wedding ever since their engagement shoot back in April. The wedding ceremony took place at St. John Lutheran Church in Sherwood, Ohio which is a small town just outside of my hometown, Defiance, Ohio. It was a bright and sunny summer day…really one of those days that brides dream of having for their wedding day!

After the ceremony, we jumped onto a party bus and made our way to downtown Defiance, Ohio where we stopped at a few locations with the bridal party for a few photo opportunities. A few weeks before their wedding, I bought some colored smoke bombs to add some color to my photographs and I knew I wanted to use them at some point during the day. I was really pleased with the result (see below) and it added a lot of fun and excitement to the shoot as well! Once we were finished, we made our way to their reception at the Fraternal Order or Eagles Club in downtown Defiance. Lesley and her family did an amazing job decorating the space and it really reflected their rustic but chic style. The chandelier that Lesley and her dad made out of a wag wheel and mason jars was really stunning but also the hand carved cake stand that her dad made was a true show stopper as well.

I had a blast photographing this wedding in my hometown and Lesley and Jeff were simply stunning! It was difficult for me to narrow down my favorites from this wedding because there were so many beautiful moments! Enjoy!
